OWHN was pleased to host this webinar presented by Ann Pederson, PhD, Director of Population Health Promotion at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre. Gender-transformative health promotion (GTHP) aims to improve health outcomes as well as gender equity. Ann’s presentation offered an introduction to GTHP and how it can change the way you work to promote health. Ann shared examples of GTHP and links to various resources and tools developed by the PhiWomen team at the BC Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health. These resources, including a planning tool, information sheets, PowerPoint presentations, a free online course, publications and the book, Making It Better: Gender Transformative Health Promotion are available through Gender Equity through Health Promotion.
